Reporting illegal content
Version 1.2 · effective from October 28, 2026
In short
We accept reports of illegal content at contact@agronotes.app.
Content in Agro Notes is not public: only members of the farm concerned can see it. Reports about the quality of work or disputes within a farm are decided by its owner, not by us.
This summary is for information only. The full text below is binding.
1. When to use this procedure
This procedure is for reporting content that the reporting person considers illegal, that is contrary to European Union law or the law of an EU member state. Examples include content infringing someone’s copyright, insulting or threatening content, content disclosing someone’s personal data without a legal basis, or content containing malware.
You can send a report whether or not you use Agro Notes. The procedure follows from Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act).
2. What Agro Notes is not
Agro Notes is not a social network or a publishing platform. Notes, photos and records are visible only to members of the same farm, invited by name by its owner. There is no public channel through which content could be shared with an unlimited audience.
As a result:
- Disputes about note content within a farm are settled in the App by its Owner. The controller of that data is the Owner or the entity on whose behalf they use the App.
- If you want personal data about you to be removed, contacting the farm owner is the faster route. The rules are described in the App privacy policy.
3. Point of contact
Electronic point of contact for users, authorities of EU member states, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services: contact@agronotes.app. Communication is possible in English and Polish.
4. What a report should contain
For us to handle a report, please include the following in your message:
- A sufficiently substantiated explanation of why you consider the content illegal, citing the law or right infringed if you can.
- A precise indication of the content: farm and field name, title or excerpt of the note, date of the entry and, if you have them, identifiers visible in the app. A screenshot helps.
- Your name and email address. These are not required for reports concerning offences relating to the sexual abuse or exploitation of children.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the information provided is accurate and complete.
A report containing these elements is considered to give us actual knowledge of the content it concerns.
5. How we handle reports
- We confirm receipt of the report by email without delay, if an email address was given.
- We handle reports in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary and objective manner. Reports are reviewed by a person; we do not use automated decision-making for this.
- We send our decision without undue delay, as a rule within 14 days. Cases that need legal advice may take longer; we then tell you when to expect a decision.
- If we reasonably suspect a criminal offence involving a threat to the life or safety of persons, we notify the law enforcement authorities.
6. Possible outcomes
- removing the content or disabling access to it,
- restricting the visibility of the content within the farm,
- warning the user who posted the content,
- suspending or closing the account for serious or repeated violations,
- leaving the content unchanged if the report proves unfounded.
7. Statement of reasons and appeal
- We inform the user concerned of any restriction imposed on content or an account, giving the reason for the decision, its scope and duration, the legal or contractual ground (a provision of law or of the terms of service) and information on how to appeal.
- Both the reporting person and the author of the content may appeal our decision within 6 months by writing to contact@agronotes.app. We review appeals diligently. Where possible, this is done by someone other than the person who made the original decision; at our current scale we cannot guarantee that.
- Regardless of the appeal, you may take the matter to court and, for personal data, lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
8. Manifestly unfounded reports
We may suspend the handling of reports from a person who frequently submits manifestly unfounded reports. Before suspending, we send a warning stating the reason.
9. Other kinds of matters
- Complaints about how the app works: see the App terms of service.
- Personal data requests: rules and time limits are set out in the App privacy policy.
- Reporting a security vulnerability: write to the contact address with “security” in the subject. Please do not disclose the vulnerability publicly until it has been fixed.
